STILL THE BEST: MidWeek Publisher Ron Nagasawa, left, and Honolulu Star-Bulletin Vice President Dave Kennedy helped co-host the "Hawaii's Best 2006 Celebration" at the Hawaii State Art Museum on Wednesday. The party honored winners of the Fourth Annual Hawaii's Best public opinion poll. A total of 90 awards in four categories -- "Shopping," "Services," "Entertainment" and "Food" -- went to winners determined by Star-Bulletin and MidWeek readers. Awards recipients and their guests enjoyed music by Don Tiki, a selection of beverages and pupus provided by five of the winning restaurants and two of the top contenders.

CHOW TIME: Lopaka Colón, percussionist for Don Tiki, enjoyed a healthy salad while the band was on break. Colón recently recorded some tracks with Jon Yamasato, and is working on other musical projects.

DEJA VU, PART 2: Alan Yoshioka talked music with Connie Kissinger. Yoshioka was there on behalf of Harry's Music -- winner once again in the "Musical Instruments" category. Kissinger is promoting her newly released CD.

REPRESENTING THE BOYS: MidWeek Web site coordinator Linda Dela Cruz, left, welcomed KSSK veteran Sweetie Pacarro, whose station won in the radio category. Pacarro was standing in for "Radio Personality" winners Perry & Price, who evidently go to bed very early.
