Last weekend's Taste of Honolulu drew thousands of hungry people to the city's civic center for 2 1/2 days of dedicated eating. The annual event raised funds for Easter Seals of Hawaii.

The eaters chose the best dishes of the event:

Best dessert: Hilton Hawaiian Village, Dome of Caramel Mousse with Banana on Feuillantine Cookie with Vanilla Sauce

Best salad: Ciao Mein, Jasmine Tea Smoked Shrimp Salad

Best vegetarian: Down to Earth, Italian Stuffed Shells and Creamy Sicilian dip with Veggies

Best beef: Top of Waikiki, Grilled Roast Garlic Rib Eye Steak with Hamakua Mushrooms, Soy Ginger Balsamic Glaze and Sake Sorbet

Best pork: Canoes at the Renaissance Ilikai, Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Guava Soy Butter Sauce

Best pasta: Dave & Busters, Blackened Chicken Pasta

Best poultry: Tudo de Bom, Brazilian Chicken Plate

Best seafood: Top of Waikiki, Fish Tacos -- Crispy Southern Fried Catfish with Peachy Tomato Salsa, Roasted Sweet Pepper Sour Cream, Smoked Bacon and Tamarind-Lime Slaw

Most spirited staff: Top of Waikiki

Best decorated booth: Top of Waikiki
