MAKING A SPLASH
COURTESY EWA BEACH ELEMENTARY
Ewa Beach Elementary School students enjoyed a water carnival with splash slides, sprinklers and water games earlier this month, a reward for meeting their reading goals. Under the school's "25 Books Campaign," several hundred students worked through the school year to earn passes to the carnival. Haseko, developer of Ewa Beach's Ocean Pointe subdivision, donated funds to buy books for the program and supported the carnival with volunteer help and a donation of more than 1,400 servings of juice boxes and popcorn.
