Architects Hawaii Ltd. celebrated its 60th anniversary yesterday with a party downtown at Tamarind Park. The free party featured a musical performance by Kapena, cupcakes and educational displays about the company's history. Architects Hawaii has designed or helped design many of the major structures on Oahu, including Waianae and Kalani high schools, the Prince Kuhio Federal Building, the Federal Courthouse, the Queen's Medical Center's Queen Emma Tower, the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club and the Wal-Mart on Keeaumoku Street. Here, Rosita Sipirok, left, Marian Mafnas, Rachel Panida, Carol Kleppin and Mariel Moriwake showed off the anniversary cupcakes they were handing out.
