Memorial set for SUV driver killed in crash
Co-workers plan to hold a memorial for Corey Voss, 41, who was killed Monday after a Roberts Hawaii tour bus slammed into the sport utility vehicle he was driving. The memorial will be held Tuesday at the crash site in Kahaluu.
Voss was heading home from surfing when the tour bus, heading in the opposite direction, crossed the center line and slammed into the SUV at Makaipooa Road, police said.
Voss was the food and beverage director of Oahu Country Club in Nuuanu.
Co-workers had originally planned Tuesday to celebrate Voss's eighth anniversary with the country club and his impending departure to become an assistant manager at the Embassy Suites hotel in Waikiki, which is under construction.
Services for Voss will be held at 10 a.m. June 28 at the Lanikai Pavilion in Kailua near the boat ramp, where his ashes will be scattered out to sea.
