ESPN golf qualifier at Pearl Country Club
Pearl Country Club will host the ESPN National Golf Challenge local qualifier on June 21.
The event -- billed as the search for America's best twosome -- is an amateur two-person better-ball tournament with gross and net divisions. The entry fee is $105 with the first tee time at 12:06 p.m.
The Hawaii regional finals are set for Aug. 27 at the Turtle Bay Resort. Both net and gross winners advance to the national finals in Las Vegas on Nov. 13-14.

4 more teams headed to regionals
The following state champion teams will participate in the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional IV championships, June 18-26, at Boise, Idaho.
They are Kaoi Express (girls under 12), Hawaii Rush B91 Nike (boys U13), Hawaii Rush B91 Nike (boys U15) and Kailua Football Club (boys U16).
Fifteen teams are representing Hawaii. The other 11 teams appeared in an earlier article.
