Surfers enjoyed the large surf near Ala Moana Beach Park yesterday as the Starlet, a commercial tour boat, passed by. Surf along south-facing shores is expected to diminish to heights of 2 to 4 feet today.

Elvis impersonator Ron Short performed for a Bank of Hawaii promotion downtown yesterday at Bishop and North King streets. Short, who has been impersonating Elvis for seven years, has a show at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel known as "Blue Hawaii 'The Show.'" Information is available at www.elvis-live.com.
