Frazier honored with ASU achievement award
Arizona State honored Hawaii athletic director Herman Frazier with the school's lifetime achievement award at the school's Sparky Awards ceremony in Tempe, Ariz., earlier this month.
Frazier was an eight-time All-American for the Sun Devils and captained ASU's 1977 national championship track and field team. He was also a member of the gold-medal-winning team at the 1976 Olympic Games before serving 23 years in the ASU athletic department, including a stint as associate athletic director.
Earlier this year Frazier was named one of the "100 Most Influential Student-Athletes" by the NCAA. The former USOC vice president has been the UH athletic director since 2002.
