Bridget Wolfe gave her dog, Kali, a hug as it was groomed at the Golden Retriever Club of Hawaii booth during the Hawaii Pet Expo 2006 yesterday. The club is offering free grooming to Golden Retrievers to teach owners how to care for their dogs. The exposition features various animal clubs, pet product vendors, shows and more, and continues today at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Mail carriers collected food donations from homes around the state yesterday as part of the 14th annual National Association of Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. Carriers Mike Howard, left, and Matt Fiatoa unloaded food from a truck at the Pearl City Post Office.
