COMPETITION
Contest will send 1 student to Capitol
High school art students vying for a chance to display their work at the U.S. Capitol are being honored at 10:30 a.m. today at the Hawaii State Art Museum. The annual Congressional Arts Competition features artwork from more than 100 isle high schools. A winner will visit Washington, D.C. The art will be exhibited for a year. Student works will be on display at Leiopapa Kamehameha building, 250 S. King St., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. At right is a detail of the piece by Marisa Torigoe of Iolani School.
