Free Mother's Day fashion show at Ward
Stop by Native Books-Na Mea Hawaii at Ward Warehouse after brunch Sunday for a free Mother's Day fashion show, "To Mom, With Love," between 1 and 3 p.m.
Designer Nake'u Awai and Niihau shell expert Pam Dow, owner of Forever Kauai, will present a colorful parade of Hawaiian designs, and there will be performances by Aaron Sala, Lena Machado and hula by Pi'olani Motta.
Motta and Kihei de Silva recently released "Lena Machado: Songbird of Hawai'i," chronicling Machado's life and compositions. Sala has been nominated for six awards in the May 31 Hawaiian Music Awards.
Sala, Motta and de Silva will sign autographs following the event. Call 783-2612.
