Sunset memorial service honors photographer Titchen

A memorial celebration of the life of former Star-Bulletin photographer Jack Titchen will be held Saturday at La Pietra Hawaii School for Girls.
Titchen captured images of erupting volcanoes, international celebrities and sports contests that were reproduced worldwide and won him several professional awards.
The Australian-born photographer also recorded Hawaii's history as it happened through his unique perspective during his career.
His memorial service will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m., highlighted by a sunset ceremony at 6:45. The school is located at 2933 Poni Moi Road in Honolulu.
Limited parking is available at La Pietra. Carpooling is recommended.
A car will be dispatched between 5:15 and 6 p.m. to pick people up on Paki Avenue and the mauka side of Kalakaua Avenue once the school parking lot is filled.
