Kamehameha, Kahuku earn top 2 seeds
Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion and Oahu Interscholastic Association winner Kahuku received the top two seeds in the Local Motion/HHSAA State Championships this week.
The Red Raiders (13-0) are one of two undefeated teams.
The tournament runs from Thursday through Saturday's 2 p.m. championship game.
This is the third year of the annual tournament. Punahou won the first two, in 2004 and 2005, but the Buffanblu didn't qualify this year.
The Warriors were runner-up finishers two years ago.
The other two seeded teams are the Big Island Interscholastic Federation champion Hilo and Maui Interscholastic League winner Lahainaluna (9-0).
