Kim leads by one stroke after two

Kyung Kim shot a 2-over 74 to stay atop the championship flight leaderboard in yesterday's second round of the 56th Jeannie K. Wilson Invitation at Mid-Pacific Country Club.

Kim held a one-stroke lead over Kristina Merkle, who also shot a 74 and was at 148 through two rounds. Desiree Ting fired a 3-over 75 and stood in third place, five strokes back going into today's final round.

» The team headed by Aloha Section PGA professional Matthew Pakkala won the Hawaiian Telcom Hall of Fame Pro-Am Tournament yesterday in Kapalua, Maui.

Pakkala, along with Harvey Plummer, Sonny Peirera, Jason Ito, and Marvin Monis, posted a score of 56 in the win.
