Rapper T.I. films video on North Shore

IT NEVER fails -- as soon as I announce that I'm taking a few days off, all kinds of interesting stuff goes down.

The fun started a week ago, when I began to get calls claiming that50 Cent was filming a music video on the North Shore. Turns out it wasn't the star of "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," but Atlanta-based rapperT.I. instead.

The self-proclaimed "King of the South" was here to shoot a video for his next single, "Why You Wanna," and even enlisted the help of several local go-go dancers. Keep an eye out forCheryl Ocampo,Jenn R. andNina Roxanne when you're watching MTV in the next month or so. I'm also told a crew from "Making the Video" was on hand to capture all the action ...

THEN CAME news of theWave Waikiki's eviction, right on the heels of general managerAlan Brissette's departure for the ranks of the Honolulu Police Department. The storied nightclub's last night is supposed to be May 20 -- and it looks like they'll only be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until then ...

OTHER RECENT changes to Clubland: The nightspot formerly known as Blue Tropix is now also formerly known as Koi.
