‘Contempo 2006’ at Neiman Marcus
THE THREE GRACES, CONTEMPO STYLE: No knowledge of art was required to enjoy the party as ConTempo 2006 co-chairwomen Leila Diamond, left, Kitty Wo and Susan Ing presided over the ConTempo "C Lounge," a fundraiser for the Contemporary Museum, at Neiman Marcus April 22. A crowd of several hundred sipped cocktails, bid on an impressive array of donated art and danced till midnight to the music of Soul Cafe.
PERFECT COMPANY: Larry Heim Jr. enjoyed the C Lounge vibe with Amergit Ghag, left, and Marion Philpotts Miller.
JOEY OPTS OUT: Joey Caldarone, right, opted out of formal black tie and wore a Japanese silk jacket over a multicolored Pucci shirt. Patrick and Marissa Gey epitomized tradition in black and white.
ART FANS: Carol Pregill, left, and Sharon Serene inspected the artwork on display.
PARTY TALK: Carole Brooks, left, and Kainoa Lee chatted with Uli Cutter and Dr. John Magauran.
A CLASSIC LOOK: Robert and Kyoko Palma made a striking fashion statement in basic black and white.
CATCHING UP: Gov. Linda Lingle, center, talked with Kimi and Ash Matar while other partiers enjoyed the music of Soul Cafe. Kimi was so impressed by the group that she plans to use them at one of her upcoming parties.
BLACK TIES? US?: Dr. Alvin Chung, left, and Colt Dunterman dressed casually for the black-tie event. ConTempo was only one of several stops for Chung that night because he was celebrating his birthday. Ryan MacLauglin and Jennifer Fairbanks joined them in celebrating Chung's big night.
WELL, IT IS THE SHOE DEPARTMENT: Davis Nguyen was a great "prince" for charming "princess" Lynn Ariyoshi as they relaxed between dances.
