Mera Pharmaceuticals Inc. was the top gainer in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin stock index this week, up more than 14 percent to close at 1.6 cents. Mera is up 23 percent over the last 12 months.
Behind Mera was Central Pacific Financial Corp., parent company of Central Pacific Bank. Central Pacific was up nearly 11 percent this week, closing at $37.90. Over the last 12 months the stock is up nearly 20 percent.
Hardest hit during the week was Hawaiian Holdings Inc., parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, down nearly 11 percent to close at $3.66.
The Bloomberg / Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
