Radford's basketball girls improve to 7-0
Marlena Malepeai poured in 13 points and Kamia Smith added 12 as the Rams raced out to a 20-6 halftime lead and never looked back in routing the Hurricanes 41-21 last night at James Alegre Gymnasium.
The Rams didn't give up a point in the second quarter and Kapolei's leading scorers had just four points. Smith nailed two 3-pointers in the game to give her 12 for the season, which is tops in the league.

With 52 seconds left and the Falcons leading 45-35, the Surfriders went on an 8-0 run led by Kristen Corrales, who hit a 3-pointer, stole the ensuing inbounds pass and made a layup.
Kailua trailed 45-43 and had the ball under the Kaiser basket with 3 seconds remaining, but Zsalei Kamaka's shot from the left side of the key was partially blocked at the buzzer and Kalani remained undefeated in OIA play.

The Knights steadily increased their lead over the Marauders throughout the game and iced it by outscoring Waipahu 12-4 in the fourth quarter. Castle's Titi Kawainui scored nine of her game-high 11 points in the second half, matching Waipahu's scoring total after halftime.
Amanda Misa led the Marauders with nine points.

The Owls built a 37-20 halftime lead and played the Spartans evenly in the second half for a comfortable victory. Meghan Laughlin scored eight of her 14 in points in the second quarter and Yuki Sei hit two deep 3-pointers in the period, in which Mid-Pacific outscored Maryknoll 22-9.
Kristina Lin matched Laughlin with 14 points for Mid-Pacific, while Nicole Fu led the Spartans with 16 points.
