AIDS walk

The Starbucks AIDS Walk for Life takes place at Kapiolani Park on April 23 to benefit the Life Foundation and its work helping Hawaii residents with AIDS.

Among groups performing will be the Mililani High School cheerleaders, who won the National Cheerleaders Association U.S. Championship's small varsity division in March, Sonny Ching's halau, Kaimana Band and the Royal Hawaiian Band.

There is no cost to walk, but those who raise more than $100 will receive a T-shirt. The goal is to raise $125,000.

Nearly 50 teams have already signed on, but registration remains open. Visit www.aidswalkhawaii.org or call 521-2437, ext. 250, or e-mail cpudwill@lifefoundation.org. Registration forms are also available at most Starbucks locations.
