SOS golf tourney raises $18,000 for Bautista's Jewel
The
Society of Seven's golf tourney Monday at Makaha West, with music, raised about $18,000 for
Jewel Bautista, 10, daughter of SOS star
Gary Bautista, who died in January. The tournament was organized by
Fran Kirk and Outrigger Entertainment. Jewel, her mom,
Julia, and older brother
Santino helped distribute beverages to golfers.
Ron Lee and the Outrigger Showroom staff barbecued kalbi steak donated by Yummy's and made small sandwiches. Later, the kids in a golf cart with
Judy Dancer delivered ice cream to golfers and volunteers at Par 3 holes. The winning teams donated their prizes for the auction to raise more funds. Performing or golfing or both were
