CONGRATULATIONS, DANNY!: Danny Kaleikini, third from left, celebrated with Adam Suapaia, left, Linda Wong and Iva Kinimaka at the Hawaii Theatre last Friday after he was honored by the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation of Hawaii. The event was a fundraiser for the hospital, and although Kaleikini was the guest of honor, he was also the featured entertainer. He's as talented as ever. Kinimaka was one of many celebrity guests who shared their talents. Suapaia, longtime maitre d' of the Hala Terrace at the old Kahala Hilton, helped direct onstage traffic during the show.

AT LEAST THEY DIDN'T TOW IT: Mike Kelly, vice president and general manager of Hawaiian 105 KINE, talked with state Sen. Donna Kim at the Hawaii Theatre after the show. Kim was there to give Danny Kaleikini a proclamation from the Senate, but the show ran so long that her car was trapped for the night in a department store parking lot. There was no way to get it out so she returned to the theater and enjoyed the party.

GREAT GUESTS: Rene Paulo and Cathy Foy were among the few cast members who stayed for the post-show reception at the Hawaii Theatre. Foy's voice and Paulo's brilliant performance on piano made them two of the most memorable guests.

BIDDING TO WIN: Tony and Mele Young checked out the silent auction Friday at the National Kidney Foundation fundraiser at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom. The Youngs won what they wanted most: a dinner for two at Indigo.

SUPPORTING THE CAUSE: Kidney Foundation supporter Liz Watanabe, left, talked with Donna Chun, one of her guests, before dinner. The event was a tribute to the late U.S. Sen. Hiram Fong. It concluded with the presentation of an award to his family.
