Villanueva's 3-point play propels Rams past Mules
Chelsea-Ann Villanueva converted a three-point play with 2 seconds left to give Radford a stunning 35-34 victory over Leilehua in a matchup of the top two teams in the Oahu Interscholastic Association West last night at James Alegre Gym.
Point guard Kamia Smith nailed three straight 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with a game-high 13 points for the Rams (6-0), who took over sole possession of first place with the win. Marquesha McVea had nine points for the Mules (5-1), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

Ashley Anthony hit a layup from the right baseline as the buzzer sounded to send the Trojans to a win over the Hurricanes in a closely contested game.
With the game tied and time expiring, Kapolei turned the ball over near Mililani's basket, and Anthony took a pass right under the Kapolei basket with a second left for her shot.
She had a team-high five points in the quarter and eight in the game, while Christina Korodan had a game-high 15 points for the Trojans. Ashley Dela Cruz had 12 to lead the Hurricanes.

Darlyn Livae scored 10 of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead basket with under 2 minutes to go as the Sabers finished the game with a 12-0 run to come from behind for the win.
The Chargers took a 25-15 lead after three quarters, but went cold in the final 8 minutes as they were held without a point in the fourth quarter.

Zsalei Kamaka and Kristen Corrales led a furious Surfrider charge in the fourth quarter -- scoring a combined 19 points in the period -- to lead their team over the Seariders.
Kailua trailed 33-27 after three quarters but outscored Waianae 22-5 in the fourth for the win.
Corrales scored nine of her 15 and Kamaka 10 of her 19 in the fourth quarter.
Danielle Lovell led the Seariders with 16 points.
