Friday
"Rockstar Fridays," 10 p.m. at Brew Moon. Cover: $10. Call 723-4277.
Lines will be long outside Brew Moon on Friday, when Jace Faufata (below) and the rest of local rock group Neken perform during the weekly "Rockstar Fridays" party at the restaurant.
If you're down with VJ Entertainment and the Stone Groove Family, then you've probably seen Neken play in the waters of Kaneohe Bay, when they used to headline those infamous sandbar parties. Missed out on that? Relive the glory at Brew Moon.
Saturday
L.A. Symphony, 9 p.m. at Bliss Nightclub. Call 946-7773.
West Coast underground hip-hop collective L.A. Symphony stops in Honolulu this weekend, the third of five stops on the group's 2006 Hawaiian Island Tour.
Formed in 1997, the group is recognized for their anti-gangsta stance and Christian beliefs. They've also served as an opening act for numerous other underground acts.
"Disappear Here" is the name of L.A. Symphony's latest album, and is the first new material released in three years.
