Kawaoka, Amorozo drive Moanalua past Roosevelt
Treven Kawaoka doubled and drove in two runs and Mike Amorozo went 3-for-3 to lead host Moanalua past Roosevelt 5-2 yesterday.
Starting pitcher Kekoa Lee gave up just one run in six innings for the Menehunes in picking up the win.
Rick Yoshikane and Nick Wong each went 2-for-3 to lead Roosevelt, which scored once in the seventh inning to pull within three. However, Moanalua's Markus Miyashiro came out of the bullpen for the save.

Nick Cook went the distance with a three-hitter and five strikeouts for visiting Kahuku, which broke the game open in the fifth inning by capitalizing on a hit batsman, a walk and two errors to score four runs.

Ridge Carpenter and Christ Pieper each drove in four runs as the Falcons crushed the Governors.
Carpenter led the offensive show for the Falcons, going 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three runs scored.
After walking the first four Governor batters and walking in a run, Falcon starter Kenn Kamoto settled down to retire three consecutive batters and not allow a hit in three innings of work.

Dustin Antolin sparked the Trojans out of a four-run hole by leading off the fifth inning with a double and opening the sixth inning with a home run. His teammates followed suit, and Mililani did all its damage in those two innings.
Blayne Kamahiai and John Abreu added three hits apiece to help the Trojans get a season-opening win.
