2 teams tied in Aloha Section 4-ball event
Two teams shot 4-under 68 yesterday to tie for first place after the first round of the Aloha Section PGA Big Island Candies Scotch 4-Ball Championship at The Club at Hokulia.
Brian Sasada and Eliot Gouveia share the lead with former champions Kevin Hayashi and Lance Taketa, who won the event in 2002 and 2003.
Three teams trailed by one stroke going into today's final round -- Andrew Feldmann and Larry Stubblefield, Scott Bridges and Jay Taise, and Ben Hongo and Mark Seki.
Twenty-one teams are entered in the event at the Jack Nicklaus-designed course.
The winning team will take home the $3,500 first-place prize.
