Shooting suspects sought
The three male suspects in Friday's slaying of a 31-year-old Makiki man in broad daylight were wearing red bandanas, police said.
While bandanas are often a sign of gang activity, "I can't positively say they were gang-related," said Sgt. Kim Capllonch, CrimeStoppers coordinator, adding that police do not make such assumptions based on clothing.
Police are seeking help from the public in finding the three suspects in the fatal shooting of Jason K. Nam.
Nam was an assistant manager at Govinda Fresh Juices, where he worked for about 12 years. Because the company is small, he often made deliveries, a coworker said. Nam was always reliable and pleasant to work with, she said.
According to police, the three men got out of a black Nissan Maxima in the parking lot of Nam's apartment building. Nam got into an argument with the men, and he was dragged onto a grassy area where a single gunshot was fired about 4 p.m. Friday, police said.

Nam was found lying on his stomach bleeding from the left side of his neck where he had been shot once. He was pronounced dead 4:30 p.m. at the Queen's Medical Center.
The three suspects fled in the black Nissan car, police said. The getaway car was found on fire at 9:25 p.m. the night of the murder at Makohilani Street near Keekuhiwa Street in Mililani. Witnesses saw at least one suspect getting into a dark-colored van leaving the scene of the burning car, police said.
The car had been stolen March 2 from Kipapa Drive behind Mililani High School.
The Medical Examiner's Office said Nam died of neck and chest injuries due to a single gunshot wound to the neck.
Police released the following descriptions of the suspects:
A male suspect armed with a handgun is described as in his 20s, between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and wearing a red bandana, long-sleeved T-shirt and long pants.
The other two men described as in their 20s were also between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds, wearing bandanas covering their faces, T-shirts and long pants.
