Waikiki welcomes performers with
the annual Honolulu Festival

The 12th Annual Honolulu Festival held its parade yesterday down Kalakaua Avenue through Waikiki. Reina Iwasaki and other members of Yosakoi Nippon Sugaren performed contemporary Japanese dance.

Two unidentified women of the Japan Nankin Tamasudare Association created a heart shape during their bamboo stick performance. The Honolulu Festival honors the heritage of Pacific island cultures and is attended by more than 5,000 artisans from Hawaii, Tahiti, Australia, Japan and other nations.
