It's official: We're 'special'

For the third year in a row, the Associated Press Sports Editors have recognized the Honolulu Star-Bulletin for excellence in producing a special section.

But after two years of Top 10 awards for producing UH football previews, the Warriors were bumped aside by the Wahine this year.

"Wahine Insider" -- a magazine previewing the Rainbow Wahine volleyball season -- was named by the APSE as one of the top 10 special sections in the nation by a newspaper with a circulation of 40,000-100,000.

Last year, the Star-Bulletin was honored for the "QB" magazine, the year before for the "H-Men" comic book.
