Narcissus Fashion Show has Fendi in an isle first
In a rare display, runway designs by Fendi will be shown during the 57th Narcissus Fashion Show, taking place Sunday at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom.
Featured will be Spring/Summer 2006 ready-to-wear collections, plus runway designs normally viewed firsthand only by the press and buyers in Milan, Italy.
"For us it's a first to do a runway show in Hawaii," said Fendi General Manager Patrick Gey. "It's a lot of work, but it's going to be very beautiful. People will see the new Fendi with designs by Karl Lagerfeld."
Shown will be clean whites, the color of spring and summer, with a mix of buoyant colorful silks, cotton dresses, touches of exotic furs and laser-cut leather that resembles lace. And it wouldn't be a runway show without "magnificent gowns," Gey said.
The event begins with boutique sales from 9 a.m., with an 11 a.m. luncheon followed by the fashion show. As a highlight of the event, attendees will be able to enter a drawing for a shoe wardrobe for a year from Fendi's expanded shoe collection.
Tickets to the event are $48. For more information, call the Chinese Chamber of Commerce at 533-3181.
