Skate into fun times

BOTH skateboard groms and older riders from the local scene are in for a treat.

After making history as the first professional skateboarder to be sponsored by Reebok, Stevie Williams will be in town for "DGK All Day," hosted by In4mation and Fitted Hawaii.

DGK stands for "Dirty Ghetto Kids," the new Reebok line of footwear and apparel that Williams helped design. The South Philadelphia native joins the likes of Jay-Z and Allen Iverson by collaborating with the shoe company.

APB Boardshop steps up first on Saturday, teaming with promoters on a skate demo at Aala Park from 4 to 6 p.m. The Main Ingredient will be there spinning tunes.

That night, the fun migrates Diamond Head to Bar 35 with a little help from Stella Artois. Williams will be there to meet and greet, while DJ Five from Las Vegas' Ghost Bar jumps on the decks for a guest set. Both events are free to attend; call 597-1447 ...

THERE'S SOME good variety out there tonight: If you like trance, this week brings "Psyclops" back to Bliss. DJs Philosonik and Upavas get started at 9 p.m. A $5 cover will be in effect ... Bobby Thursby wraps up a month of "Dixie Jams" at Dixie Grill on Ward Avenue starting at 9:30 p.m. First Verse held a CD release party there, and Guy Cruz also performed ... Natural Vibes is making townies happy -- after playing at Pipeline Cafe last weekend, they'll headline "The HNL" at NextDoor tonight. DJ Zacharijah will open ... And on the Leeward side, rapper Supreme hosts a lingerie fashion show at Panama Hatties, with Island Hunnies, Standalone and Lucrative Entertainment ...

THE UNDERGROUND represents hard this weekend, thanks to Unity Crayons.

Check out Little Wings and Anonymous Inc. with the Hell Caminos and Upstanding Youth at Detox on Friday, or head to Coffee Talk Saturday for an all-ages show alongside Gateway Drug, Bathe in Red Iodine and Omega Cix ... Want to rock out for free? Anna Bannanas hosts Pacifica, Supersonic Space Monkeys and Dear Savior tomorrow ... The best night to visit thirtyninehotel will be Saturday, when house icon DJ Francois K spins during "Lucky Tiger." But I'm kind of interested to see how Friday afternoon's "Lucky Hours" are panning out. Starting at 5 p.m. every week, you can enjoy $4 martinis and $3 beers, and owner Gelareh Khoie has arranged for food service from Bar 35 downstairs. DJ Nick is the resident for this chill party ... I'd much rather have watched Jason "Mayhem" Miller fight Robbie Lawler during Saturday's "ICON Sport" main event, but a Niko Vitale/Lawler rematch should be exciting. I'm also looking forward to seeing Chad Gusman take on Kimo Woefel, and Michiko Omigawa versus Jason Chambers.
