Beach-side 'Blow Out'

Five professional models are being sought to have their hair styled by "Blow Out" star Jonathan Antin when the celebrity hairstylist arrives at Sephora and Ala Moana Center for the taping of an episode of his Bravo reality TV show.

Antin will travel to a number of destinations during the third season of "Blow Out," with Hawaii selected as the home of "Beach Beautiful Hair."

Models must be female, 18 to 35, with a beach-ready figure and hair 5 to 6 inches below their shoulders. Anyone interested should send a head shot by Monday to PacRim Marketing Group Inc., c/o Joy Ishiara, 2758 S. King St., Suite 206, Honolulu 96826.

A casting call is tentatively set for 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sephora with final call on Feb. 17.

Antin and his team of celebrity stylists will be at Ala Moana's Center Stage from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 18, following with one-on-one consultations from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Sephora.

Model search is on

This Week Publications is searching for new faces to grace the covers of its Oahu, Maui, Big Island and Kauai travel guides.

Applicants 12 and older are invited to the search, taking place from 1 to 3:45 p.m. tomorrow at Kapiolani Park. Finalists will be announced at 4 p.m. with a grand-prize winner to be named at 7:45 p.m. during Pro Bowl Block Party festivities at Aloha Tower Marketplace. The grand prize includes $100 cash, a professional photo shoot and a cover.

Applicants should bring a recent photo with name, address and daytime phone number written on the back. Photos will not be returned. Minors must have a parent or guardian present, and contestants must be present to win the grand prize.

The 54th Cherry Blossom Festival will present a fashion show 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday featuring designs by Anne Namba, Adasa and Cinnamon Girl.

The Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce and the 54th annual Cherry Blossom Festival will present a Fashion Extravaganza from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

Garments by local designer Anne Namba, as well as Adasa and Cinnamon Girl, will be modeled by this year's queen contestants, while designs from Casablanca Bridal will be worn by Queen Brooke Hasegawa and the reigning Cherry Blossom Court. A 3 p.m. silent auction will benefit the Chamber of Commerce.
