Disabled paddlers off to New Zealand race
A fundraiser for the Pure Light Racing Team is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pinky's Pupu Bar and Grill in Kailua.
The team, which is made up of six disabled paddlers and six who are not disabled, is going to the IVF World Sprints Championships, March 21-25, in New Zealand.
Organizers are inviting the public to meet the team. There is also a silent auction and live music and food. Tickets are $25.
