BACK TO THE PRESENT: Laura Bach Buzzell, left, Melanie Garcia, Genny Wilson and Jo Pruden had plenty to smile about as the cast and crew of Diamond Head Theatre's production of "Enchanted April" unwound at the opening-night cast party Friday at Tavola Tavola. The four mesh perfectly playing women whose stale lives are revitalized when they flout the conventional rules of proper behavior circa 1926 and rent a castle in Italy for the month of April.

WELCOME TO OUR CASTLE: "Enchanted April" set designer Johanna Morriss celebrated on the steps of her Italian castle set with director Randl Ask, top, and assistant tech director Vincent Green after the show.

AN 'ENCHANTED' EVENING: Karen Sotomura, left, and her husband, Joe, second from left, enjoyed the opening-night festivities, including drinks in the sponsors' tent during intermission, as guests of Blenn Fujimoto, vice chairman of Central Pacific Bank, and his wife, Ruth. CPB is one of two gold sponsors of "Enchanted April."

NO ID TAG NEEDED: Tim Guard, left, shared a table with Rikki and Paul Cassiday at the pre-show sponsors' reception outside the theater. Sponsors and their guests usually wear custom-printed badges that identify them by name, but Rikki Cassiday was exempted because the badge and lanyard didn't go with her outfit.

VINTAGE BLING: DHT board member Devon Guard talked with DHT Artistic Director John Rampage at the pre-show sponsors' reception. "Enchanted April" takes place in 1926, and Guard dressed accordingly by wearing a pair of her grandmother's diamond earrings.
