Smooth sail in Kona
Visitors to Kona can sail in luxury with the arrival of Fair Wind Cruises' Hula Kai, the first foil-assist catamaran on the Big Island.
The vessel seats about 42 passengers on snorkeling, scuba, sight-seeing and whale-watching tours along the Kona Coast. The hydrodynamic lift produced by the hydrofoil reduces water displaced by the hull, resulting in a smaller wake wash and smoother ride.
To keep your energy level up for the water activities, gourmet breakfasts and lunches are offered, with dishes including frittatas, Angus burgers, marinated chicken strips and homemade brownies.
For reservations, call (808) 322-2788 or toll-free at (800) 677-9461.
