Mililani clinches division crown

A.J. Clark scored 15 points and Ken Moses added 13 as the eighth-ranked Trojans clinched the OIA West championship with a 47-45 victory over Aiea on senior night at Mililani last night.

Kali Kuia led three Na Alii in double figures with 12 points.

Trailing by two with under a minute to go, Aiea held onto the ball until the final seconds, but couldn't get a shot off before the buzzer sounded.

Jerry Miller added 11 points and Seth Nelson finished with 10 points, including two 3-pointers, for Na Alii (1-8).

After falling behind 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, Mililani outscored Aiea 15-8 in the second quarter to take a 25-22 lead into halftime.

Edwin Rubio scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Bulldogs, who fell to 2-8.

Clayton Laurel scored a game-high 19 points and Kennedy Orteza added 13 as the host Mules clinched a playoff berth by beating the Seariders.

Junior Faliuga had 17 points and Liko Manuel added 12 for the Seariders who lost their sixth straight game.

Cameron Moody poured in a game-high 20 points as the Hurricanes clinched a berth in the OIA playoffs with a victory over the Golden Hawks.

Kalai Kahalekai scored 13 points to lead Nanakuli (4-5) into a tie with Pearl City for the sixth and final playoff spot. The Chargers own the tiebreaker, however, due to their one-point victory over Nanakuli in the first game of the season.
