Yan can show you how it's done
If you've never seen chef Martin Yan cut up a bell pepper, you have missed out on one of the wonders of the culinary arts. But it will be easy to catch up with Yan -- of "Yan Can Cook" television fame -- this weekend.
Yan has hosted more than 2,000 cooking shows and written 26 cookbooks, and he's a compelling showman in the kitchen.
He will give cooking demonstrations at the BIA-Hawaii Home Building & Remodeling Show, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. For details and a complete schedule of chef demonstrations at that show, see Morsels, Page D5.
Yan will also appear at the grand opening of Servco Pacific's redesigned Home and Appliance Showroom in Mapunapuna. He'll be hosting cooking demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Call 564-2493.
