ICEE in Hawaii is sold
A company responsible for many temporarily red-and-blue tongues in Hawaii has been bought by J&J Snack Foods Corp. of Pennsauken, N.J.
The stock of ICEE of Hawaii Inc., which has facilities in Waipahu, was sold by Edward and Gayle Steele.
"We are pleased to add ICEE of Hawaii to our beverage Group," said J&J President Gerald Shreiber. It is not his first brush with the company. From 1988 to 1995, Shreiber was listed as a director of Icee-USA Corp., while Steele was president.
J&J manufactures snack foods for supermarkets and food-service industries.
