Warriors, Wolfpack: top seeds
Two Interscholastic League of Honolulu teams -- Kamehameha and Pac-Five -- are the Division I and II top seeds in this week's Data House Softball State Championships.
The tournaments start Wednesday, but the four seeded teams in D-I and D-II don't start until the following day.
On Thursday at 8 p.m. at the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium, the ILH champion Warriors play the winner of Wednesday's Campbell-Pearl City contest.
The other seeded teams in Division I are: No. 2 Kailua, the Oahu Interscholastic Association champion; No. 3 Baldwin, the Maui Interscholastic League winner; and No. 4 Hilo, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation titlist.
In Division II on Thursday, the Wolfpack meet the winner of Wednesday's Waipahu-Kohala game.
D-II's other seeded teams are: No. 2 Kalaheo; No. 3 Kauai, the Kauai Interscholastic Federation champion; and No. 4 Kamehameha-Maui.
All D-I games are scheduled for Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. The D-II games are at Central Oahu Regional Park, except the semifinals, the third-place game and the title game, which are at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
