Miah Ostrowski scored 17 of his season-high 34 points in the fourth quarter and scored the game-winning layup in overtime with less than 10 seconds to go as No. 5 Punahou came from behind to stun ninth-ranked Maryknoll 69-68 in overtime last night at Hemmeter Fieldhouse.
The Buffanblu (6-3) trailed by 12 with less than 2 minutes left in regulation, but a layup by Ostrowski with 2 seconds left completed the comeback and tied the game at 61. The Buffanblu outscored the Spartans 30-18 in the fourth quarter.
Tyler Tsukazaki nailed four 3-pointers and poured in a team-high 29 points for the Spartans, who had one last chance to win the game in overtime, but struggled to get off a decent shot as time expired.
Ostrowski and Spencer McLachlin combined for all eight of Punahou's overtime points. The Buffanblu's Danny Cho nailed three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Chris Hsia added 15 points for the Spartans.
