Seasiders smack Vulcans
Austin Smylie scored 28 points and pulled down nine rebounds as Brigham Young-Hawaii dropped UH-Hilo 76-61 last night at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
It was the third straight win for the surging Seasiders and second straight loss for the Vulcans.
Justin Griffin led the Vulcans with 15 points, followed by Terrance Troupe with 14 and Joe Travis with 13.
The Seasiders (10-7, 3-2 PacWest) travel to Honolulu to take on the Hawaii Pacific on Feb. 2, while the Vulcans (12-7, 2-4) return home and won't play again until they host the Sea Warriors on Feb. 9.
Eric Boyce scored 14 points for the Seasiders
Smylie scored 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds against the Vulcans in the first meeting between the teams on Thursday.
