Join the academy

Aveda Salon & Spa at Ala Moana Center has started the Aveda Academy, with discounted services from new stylists available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays.

The stylists are supervised by Aveda team leaders, and the services include $25 haircuts (regularly $50 and up) and color and highlights starting at $40 (usually $65 and up).

All services come with Aveda flourishes, such as cups of comforting tea; a stress-relieving shoulder, neck and scalp treatment; a hand/arm moisturizing massage; and a makeup touch-up for women.

The salon and spa is on the center's third level, next to Neiman Marcus. Call 947-6141 for reservations.
