Will they win?
A local girl and her fiance are possible 'Biggest Losers'
Star-Bulletin
Local girl Rasha Spindel and her fiance, Edwin Chapman, were one of two engaged couples chosen to participate on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" this season. The couples will vie for a Jamaican honeymoon and $50,000 toward their dream wedding.
Spindel was born and raised in Manoa and struggled with weight issues most of her life. Working as a plus-size model, she learned to feel beautiful at any size. But after the weight kept coming on, the couple decided that they needed to make some lifestyle changes.
"We were feeling really unhealthy," she said.
The pair lost a combination of 41 pounds during the first 11 days of the competition, but Spindel said that no matter what the results, "we are all winners -- we changed our lifestyles."
Tune in 8 p.m. tomorrow when the winner is announced.
