Our picks this weekend

OK, smarty pants. Ever watch those sushi chefs and think you could do an equally admirable job?
Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar offers you an opportunity to try making your own hand-rolled sushi ($19.75), from its seasonal menu.
They provide the nori sheets, along with lettuce leaves, crab with mayonnaise, scallops, slivers of tamago, and thick slices of ahi and salmon, plus pearls of salmon roe, enough for 10 rolls for two light eaters.
You provide the manpower and aesthetics, and chances are, if you've never tried this before, your beautiful conical handrolls will end up looking more like lumpy logs. Nice try.

If you, too, are nuts for U2, don't forget tomorrow's the day tickets go on sale for the band's April 8 Aloha Stadium concert. Sales start at 9 a.m., but that doesn't mean you can sleep in. This concert will be the hottest ticket of the year.
How hot? Tickets for other "Vertigo" tour venues are selling on eBay for as much as $750.
Your tickets, assuming you can claw your way to them, will cost $49.50 for the floor, or for reserved seats, $95 or $165.
Got yours at the stadium box office and Ticketmaster retail outlets. Or charge by phone, 877-750-4400, or try online booking at ticketmaster.com.

I'm thinking about starting my weekend early, grabbing a few friends together and heading out for some salsa lessons at Rumours Nightclub. The club holds free lessons from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays. There's also free pupus. It's a great deal for just $7 (cover).
