The state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands is seeking development proposals for the site of the former Stadium Bowl-O-Drome in Moiliili.
DHHL is offering the 1.89-acre property for commercial, retail development under business, mixed-use zoning. The lease term is for a minimum 25 years and maximum 65 years.
The address is 820 Isenberg St., next to the city's Old Stadium Park.
Interested parties can obtain information packets containing application forms, objectives and criteria at DHHL's Land Management Division, 1099 Alakea St., Suite 1230, or at the DHHL's district offices on the neighbor islands.
Three parties applied for a development agreement after the department issued a Notice of Proposed Disposition last year, but they withdrew before the final proposal submission, said Linda Chinn, DHHL Land Management division administrator.
State Rep. Scott Saiki, whose district includes the former Stadium Bowl-O-Drome, said residents would rather see the site used to expand Old Stadium Park.
DHHL Director Micah Kane said revenue from the property will help his department develop affordable housing for native Hawaiians.
