H-1 freeway and Puuloa Road projects prompt lane closures
Road closures for the H-1 freeway and Puuloa Road are included in state projects undergoing work next week.
Most scheduled lane closures on major Oahu roadways will be postponed during the holiday season from Dec. 15 through Jan. 3.
For the H-1 freeway widening project, Pono Street is open but Ponohale Street remains closed. The outer lanes of Kaahele Street in both directions will be closed 24 hours a day to install columns for the widened freeway. Intermittent closures of the makai-bound right lane could occur between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
For the Puuloa Road project, shoulder lanes from Nimitz Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed for utility work. There might be lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
