Hawaiian Air rises
Hawaiian Holdings Inc., parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, was the biggest gainer again this week in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. Its stock climbed 6 percent to finish the week at $4.03 -- its first close above $4 since August. Year to date, the stock is down 41 percent.
Coming in second was Cyanotech Corp., with a 5 percent gain for the week. But that increase still left the stock at 61 cents, well below the $1 level it will need to sustain for 10 days running to continue being traded on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market. Year to date, it is down 58 percent, the worst-performing local stock.
