Mötley Crüe Rocks Blaisdell
RETURN OF THE CR&UUML;E:
Mötley Crüe members Tommy Lee, left, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx thrilled 20 lucky fans at a brief backstage meet-and-greet before their concert in Blaisdell Arena Wednesday. The Crüe was excellent at the Blaisdell in 1990, but the show this time was the rock extravaganza of the year. The band opened with "Shout at the Devil" and continued with a set that included new material as well as hits from the "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood" albums.
READY TO "PLEDGE":
Tommy Lee welcomed pre-teen actor Mickey to his dressing room. Mickey will be seen on the big screen in Paris Hilton's next film, "Pledge This."
HE KNEW THEY WERE COMING:
Celebrity concert caterer Steve Ozark, center, got an assist from promoters Jacky Jedlicki, left, and Jack Utsick in showing off the cake he baked to commemorate the final show of the Crüe's 2005 "Carnival of Sins" tour.
WILLIE KNOWS HEAVY METAL:
Custom cycle afficionado Willie K, right, joined concert promoter Jacky Jedlicki in checking out the "choppers" that Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and Crüe vocalist Vince Neil would drive on stage to open a strip club-themed segment.
NOTHING LIKE "KISMET":
Elizabeth Harrison, left, enjoyed the concert with Shawna Masuda.
