Fashion 45 is opening its doors
HONOLULU'S club crowd will get an early Christmas present this year, as Fashion 45 opens its doors for the first time.
I'm told the new owner of the club formerly known as Maze has significantly renovated the space, and has signed outside promoters for Friday and Sunday nights.
As previously reported in this column, Flash Hansen and Matty Boy Hazelgrove will move "Pussycat Lounge" to Fashion 45 on Fridays. Tomorrow's party is a VIP-only soft opening (but I bet if you e-mail Flash or Matty they'll put your name on the list), with the official grand opening on Jan. 6. Interestingly, "Pussycat Lounge" will also remain on Tuesdays at the Wave Waikiki through the end of December.
On Sundays, Mastermind Entertainment, Afterdark Entertainment and Kurious? will host "Refine" at the club ...
ANOTHER BIG deal this weekend is the debut of "Hot Import Nights" here in the islands.
Starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, import enthusiasts will descend on the Blaisdell for an evening of tricked-out cars, sexy models and DJs Ladytribe and Miss Lisa spinning live. Over 100 cars will be on display, and a "sportbike showcase" is also in the works.
Want to party with the HIN crew? Check out The O Lounge tomorrow, or Pipeline Cafe on Saturday after the show ...
IF YOU haven't been to the W Honolulu lately, you've got two good reasons to visit this weekend.
First, Artist Groove Network and Goldenchild Entertainment slide down Kalakaua Avenue for a one-time party tomorrow. These guys are normally at Maharaja Ultra Lounge on Fridays.
On Saturday, DJ QBert will headline "Winter Remedy" alongside special guest go-go dancers Sasha Singleton and Christine Mendoza. Doors open for both of these 21-and-over parties at 9:30 p.m. ...
OTHER PICKS for the weekend: The MegaHurtProject, NipponDaMic and No1Ills host "Real" at Detox tomorrow starting at 10 p.m. No cover for this one ... Want to party like a monkey? Join MMA fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller and the rest of his "Mayhem Monkeys" at the Ocean Club for his birthday party on Saturday ... After ditching reggae music on Saturdays, Club Bliss kicks off "The Alliance" this week. Hosted by Creed Chameleon, Ion Myke and Flowzilla, the 18-and-over party also features DJs Packo, Jahson, Syze-1, A2Z, Konception and others on the decks ... And the concerts keep coming at Pipeline: Hawthorne Heights and No Bare Feet play tonight, with Pato Banton and the Mad Caddies tomorrow. Sunday brings Slightly Stoopid, and Less than Jake will play on Monday ...
