'Kroppin' craft class set for Friday
CREATIVE Native Crafts is hosting its first "Kroppin Kalikimaka Extravaganza" craft classes and warehouse sale from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday.
Classes include all materials except adhesive. Bring acid-free adhesive such as glue pens, glue dots or double-stick tape, or buy it on site.
Gift sets and craft supplies will be sold and free make-and-take crafts will also be available.

Class Schedule:
» "Seasons of Aloha": 6 to 10 p.m. Create a complete six-page album celebrating each month of the year. Cost is $25. Limited to 20.
» "Hawaiian Holiday Cards": 7 to 8 p.m. Create two holiday cards with island stamps and paper. Cost is $5. Limited to 10.
» "Mini Kalikimaka Scrapbook": 8:30 to 10 p.m. Create a mini Hawaiian-style accordion scrapbook. Cost is $10. Limited to 10.
Makaha Sons to play for fundraiser
The Makaha Sons will perform in a concert tonight celebrating Punana Leo O Honolulu preschool's 20th anniversary.
Also performing, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Ocean Nightclub in Restaurant Row, are Keawe Lopes and Friends and Halau Hula O Kawaili'ula.
For ages 21 and older. Tickets are $15. Call 258-2804.
Proceeds will benefit the Hawaiian-language preschool.

Imu at Kailua High
Kailua High School is heating up its imu again, this time to raise funds for 2006 Project Graduation and the school's baseball team.
Trays of food will go into the on-campus imu on Dec. 29, emerging the next morning, luau-ready. Food must be packed in a large disposable foil baking tray. Meats must be thawed, seasoned and completely wrapped in foil. Suitable for imu cooking are whole turkeys (one per tray), whole pork roasts, sweet potatoes, luau leaf and whole fish.
Cost is $15 per tray. Payment must be received by next Wednesday. Make checks payable to 2006 Kailua High School Project Grad, and send to PMB Box 147, 305 Hahani St., Kailua 96734. Write IMU on the lower left corner of the envelope. Include a self-addressed, stamped, return envelope so a confirmation ticket can be mailed to you. Include a telephone number.
Drop-off time is 3 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 29, with pick up from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 30.

Lingle is speaker
Gov. Linda Lingle will be the guest speaker at the Hawaii Restaurant Association's Political Action Committee Luncheon, 11:39 a.m. Tuesday at the Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel.
