Vulcans win Hawaiian Style Classic opener

Justin Griffin scored 28 points to lead the Hawaii-Hilo basketball team to a 74-61 win over Western New Mexico on the first day of the Hawaiian Style Classic Friday night in Hilo.

Rocky Jorgenson added 13 points while Justin Dobson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Vulcans (2-1).

UH football coaches to speak at QB Club

University of Hawaii receivers coach Ron Lee and defensive backs coach Rich Miano are the guest speakers at tomorrow's Honolulu Quarterback Club.

The program starts at noon following an 11:30 a.m. luncheon at the Pagoda Hotel Ballroom. The public is invited.
